Leaf

While it was snowing in the hills on Monday, it was raining in the flats.  This leaf collected raindrops on the sidewalk in front of friend Martha's house in Novato.

Raindrops

Tuesday it rained buckets here; we got over 6 inches in one day and it was our first rain for months.  For those who don't live in California: it doesn't rain here in the summer (generally).  Heavy rain isn't conducive to photography, but today, it drizzled and that can provide many opportunities.  All I have to do is go into the back yard and look for the raindrops!

Raindrops

On Tuesday morning at Bear Valley, it stopped raining for our walk/run on the trail, and the rain left some wonderful drops on the vegetation. These are on some unknown 'berry'.

Tomorrow's photo will be the last until March 21 or 22nd, depending on my jet lag. We are going on an Elderhostel cruise around the southern tip of South America, starting in Santiago, Chile and ending in Rio. I think several of you have made a similar trip, so you know what kind of photos to expect when we return!

Drippy succulent

Christmas Day offered another nice set of raindrops on this succulent.
