On my walk at Stinson Beach last Saturday, my eyes were drawn to a flash of gold - a hummingbird on a branch. Every way he turned, he flashed gold, though it doesn't show in the photo. I think it must be a Rufous Hummingbird. I would enlarge it but 1) I want you to see it on its branch as I did, and 2) he was too far away to be in good focus and I don't want you to see how blurry the photo really is! The blue background is the Pacific Ocean.

Hummingbird
On my walk at Stinson Beach last Saturday, my eyes were drawn to a flash of gold - a hummingbird on a branch. Every way he turned, he flashed gold, though it doesn't show in the photo. I think it must be a Rufous Hummingbird. I would enlarge it but 1) I want you to see it on its branch as I did, and 2) he was too far away to be in good focus and I don't want you to see how blurry the photo really is! The blue background is the Pacific Ocean.
