Reflection

Our recent rains have created little pools here and there.  This one is in a pasture and gives us the reflection of a small tree on a levee.

Mt. Tam

Thursday morning the water in Corte Madera Creek was very still. Usually there are some little ripples from the breezes starting about 7 am but this time Mt. Tamalpais in the sun was reflected perfectly in the stream.

On our Thursday morning walk along the Corte Madera bike path, Lawrie pointed out this 'picture perfect' reflection of a house across the still creek.

Reflection

This reflection appears on a lovely little lake in Mill Race Park, the crown jewel of the Columbus (Indiana) Parks System and the anchor to the 19-mile People Trails. It is a beautiful and nationally recognized downtown riverfront park designed by landscape architect Michael Van Valkenburgh.

Reflection and tree

By the grove in yesterday's photo, I noticed a reflection of a tree in a puddle, a nice whole tree-top. Then I saw the tree, very tall and slender.

Gull on the Crek

Yesterday we walked along Corte Madera Creek at low tide, where we saw this gull looking for breakfast on the edge of the water. The shadows above are reflections of the opposite shore.

Pine tree

This is a pine tree that is visible from the path along Corte Madera Creek but I had never noticed it until this area became filled with water. Combo of rain and high tide, I think.

The theme this week must be reflections!

Trees

I didn't look straight up to take this photo; I looked (almost) straight down into a puddle on Bear Valley Trail. You can see the edges of the puddle in the upper right and lower right of the picture.

This is same puddle in which I took Bob's picture for yesterday. I turned it upside down to look as if he had no feet. My favorite comment - Susan M. said, Perhaps he was a politician who was defeated?

Moon-rise

Last night's moon rose big and orange as seen from our second floor balcony. It's coming up over the Richmond hills and the reflection is in San Pablo Bay. One of these days I'll be ready with a tripod and get a clearer photo!
